Our story

High Score Chips is a small family business and, first and foremost, a passion project built around our love of poker chips, video games, and some of our favorite shows.

For years, I created custom poker chip sets for myself based on games, shows, and themes I loved. Most casual poker players have only ever encountered what I jokingly call “Walmart chips” at home games, so whenever I hosted a game with one of my custom sets, people were fascinated by them. I constantly received compliments and requests from friends asking if I could make custom sets for them too.

The problem was that creating them was incredibly time consuming. Every chip had to be designed with extreme precision in Adobe Illustrator, while logos often required help from a graphic designer and multiple rounds of revisions. As much as I enjoyed the process, it simply wasn’t practical to create a completely new set every time someone asked.

As someone who has loved and collected poker chips for years, I wanted to make that level of customization accessible to everyone. That idea eventually became High Score Chips.

Together with my family, we set out to build a tool that could provide the same precision and flexibility I used to achieve manually in Illustrator, while making the process dramatically simpler. The result is our custom chip designer, which today can create designs far beyond what I could realistically produce by hand back then. You can customize almost every part of your chips, upload your own logo separately, and see your set come together before ordering. We also created a beginner-friendly guide showing how you can make great looking custom logos for free.

My love of video games and television also inspired the signature sets you’ll find on the site. Many started as designs I wanted for my own collection, based on themes I personally enjoy. If one of them speaks to you, we’d love for you to order it. But we also strongly encourage you to try the custom designer and create something completely your own.

At the heart of High Score Chips is a simple idea: your home game should feel like your home game. Whether your inspiration comes from gaming, movies, inside jokes, your poker group, your family, or something completely original, we want to give you the tools to turn that idea into a professional-quality poker set.

We built High Score Chips with a lot of love, obsession, and attention to detail so that you can express your own creativity and passion through the chips on your table.

That’s our mission.
